This job is for you if:

  • You have multiple years of experience planning and creating maps and environments, using Unreal, Unity, Maya, or other similar software
  • You know exactly what determines whether or not a map is enjoyable
  • You know and understand the basic steps of map development (eg. level flow, timing, storytelling)
  • You're able to present a purely theoretical map to others in an understandable way
  • You're able to take a purely theoretical map concept, and quickly and independently turn it into a playable, testable version
  • You're great at working together with members of an agile and creative team, who work in different fields, while also maintaining a high degree of independence
  • You speak and write English at a high level
  • You're experienced at using major game engines (e.g. Unreal, Unity)
  • You live and breathe video games

Your task will be:

  • To build complete maps, and map sections, and make them playable
  • To cooperate with other members of the team (designers, programmers, artists, testers, managers) to ensure that finished maps will be as good as possible
  • To constantly test and polish the entire game, especially the parts you developed

It`s advantageous if:

  • You've already worked on at least one game as a Level Designer
  • You have experience with scripting or even programming
  • You have a strong visual sense
  • You have practical experience in any other field of game development
