This job is for you if:
- You're well versed at creating and using technical tools (mainly rigging, and animating) in Maya, Unreal, or another similar program
- You have multiple years of experience setting up 3D models (characters, vehicles, structures, etc.)
- You're very familiar with the technical aspects of animating within Maya
- You're experienced at the use of major game engines (e.g. Unreal, Unity)
- You're great at working together with members of an agile and creative team, who work in different fields, while also maintaining a high degree of independence
- You're proficient at understanding written English, and you are at least at a standard level at writing, and understanding spoken English
- You regularly play video games in your free time
Your task will be:
- Providing technical support for riggers and animators
- Creating animation rigs, setups, and skins
- Professional control in the planning and modeling phase, such that the 3D model gets developed perfectly for rigging and animation
- To help the animators, and programmers solve problems related to the setup and animations
It`s advantageous if:
- You've worked on at least one game or major film project as a Technical Artist or Rigger
- You know how to write Python scripts
- You have programming experience
- You're very familiar with Unreal Engine
- You have experience with traditional keyframe animation
- You have experience with motion capture technology
- Facial animation and its technical aspects are your bread and butter
- You have knowledge of artistic anatomy
